Enjoying Outside

I have been wanting a jogger stroller since last summer, but never found one and really did not want to buy brand new if I could get away with it!  So I went searching on Craigslist and came across one not too far from home.

Jonathon and I ventured out after school to find the place.  And I decided yes that it was a great deal.  The jogger is by Instep and is in excellent condition and we purchased it for $25.  Brought it home, washed it up and loaded it back into the van so we were ready to try it out.

Thursday afternoon I met up with my sister after my morning errands/appointments to go for a walk.

Now it is a very nice stroller ~ Jonathon is very comfortable riding in it ~ its very easy to push ~ I love the bicycle tires ~ I love the fact that it has a big storage underneath and there is pockets all over the thing ~ Great buy ~ EXCEPT ~ the front wheel does not swivel ~ I knew this when I bought it, but didn't realize how much of a pain it actually is.

Maybe over time I will adjust to the way it is ~ maybe not ~ I will use it and see if I can learn to like it more and in the meantime I am searching for one that the front wheel swivels.

Today we will test it out on our dirt road ~ It will be nice to be able to get out and take Scruffy(dog) along with us!

Continuing P.T. at home

P.T. ended for Jonathon as of January 2010.  We still have his stairs in the house and he uses them often.  We also have basement stairs that I take him along with me when I do laundry(once in awhile).  He has a basketball hoop inside(that needs to go outside) and he has grown enough that he can finally make a basket and he so loves to play basketball with all of us.

With spring and summer coming and with full time preschool starting in the fall I wanted to make sure that he had enough therapy items at home to keep him going and not fall behind.  So I started looking on craigslist for a Little Tikes playset of some sort.  We have a swingset (that I bought him last summer)but it has a very big slide on it and a some swings.  I want Jonathon to be able to climb up and down and just play (like the play structure at school) and then I won't worry about him and it will be great P.T.

 I cannot wait for the weather to warm back up again so Jonathon can get back out and enjoy his new sand and his new play structure!

School Field Trip

to the zoo on Friday!  It was a little unorganized if you ask me, but we had a great day anyway.

We invited Jonathon's bestest girlfriend Rylee and her mom and they brought along big brother Logan.  Weather was decent.  Little chilly in the morning, but it did warm up and we had a blast.

Old Sand - New Sand

When Andrew and Kenny were growing up we actually had a huge square sand box in the back yard for them and the swingset around it.  Last year I decided that I didn't want that for Jonathon.  I just wanted a little sandbox that he could sit in and play and we could cover it up at night.

After searching we found a little crabby sand box out by the road for garbage. It just needed to be pounded out and it was fine.  Jonathon received sand for his 2nd birthday from Uncle John(my bro) and he was very very happy.  He loves his sandbox. 

  

And then there wasn't any sand!  When we opened up crabby this Spring it was full of petrified worms!  Ok ok so I cleaned them all out ~ Disgusting don't want any part of worms ~ then it rained ~ and we went out to play ~ crabby was full of petrified worms on top ~ live worms crawling through EVERYWHERE!! ~ I draw the line when I have to take out more than 20 ~ we dumped crabby!

Now Uncle John works out of state.  He is located in Texas.  Jonathon sent Uncle John a picture of empty crabby and told him to come home that he needed more sand PLEASE!!!!

Ask and you shall receive!!!!!

What a wonderful surprise for Jonathon to get sand only days after asking Uncle John and the best surprise for Uncle John to be on a trip to Michigan and able to stop in and say Hi!!  My boys have the best Uncle in the world!  Thanks brother for being a great Uncle and brother!!!  Love you bunches!!!!!!

So then we had to move the sand from point A to point B

And even though Kenny did a superb job helping out this would have taken us all weekend to finish so I called in a favor.

                                                                   So our good friend Mr. Randy came with his tractor and moved the sand from Point A to Point B for us.  And daddy helped too.

Life in General

is good.  I sit and think about my blog everyday and the fact that I haven't even signed in lately.  And then I tell myself that I need to sign in and catch up on my friends and also say something in mine.

First off, my internet provider has been doing lots of maintenance and I haven't even been able to connect online very long let alone sign in here.

Second off, I have been having a problem uploading pictures and that just makes me mad.

Third off, I have been trying to do some organizing around the house

Fourth, I have been going outside with Jonathon alot lately.

Fifth, I am sorry to my family and friends that I haven't been current and I will try to be better.
