New Shoes

Jonathon got some new shoes and he is a totally different child now. I can't believe the difference. He was wearng Kmart shoes and they seemed to be bulky and heavy and I have been wanting to get him a new pair. He didn't like his shoes and really wouldn't try to walk or move for that matter unless he was barefoot or in socks. He wears braces and it concerned me that he didn't like his shoes. Well he has New Balance now and he loves them. He will wear them all day AND he will hold my hands to walk now!!!!! I am sooooo happy and proud of my little boy!!! Hooray for NEW SHOES!!!

Rough Day

Ever have one of those days! Well we did today. Jonathon slept in until 7a.m. and I thought that would make it a good day. No, not at all. We were behind schedule for everything today and had school and an afternoon appointment. So we missed 1 bottle, half of our lunch and 1 snack and an afternoon nap. Needless to say Jonathon was a trooper and most of all was in good spirits. But this is not a day I want to repeat anytime soon.

I have to laugh

Well 10 years went by before I was blessed with another son and some things I have to laugh about that I had forgotten about: You must pick up the cat food dishes, especially the water!(LOL) I must have mopped up and changed Jonathon 3x Tuesday morning before it finally clicked, ummm might want to pick that up mommy! I couldn't even scold him because it was my fault. Today we are doing better so far at remembering.

School went great yesterday for once,(I really do not like Tuesday school) I think it's a waste of our time most times. I am still trying to figure out what speech and teacher are trying to accomplish.(UGH) But Jonathon spent first half hour in high chair playing little games, til it was block stacking time- now this is a losing battle-he knows how to stack blocks, he just doesn't want too and he likes to throw them-why! I have no clue. So after about 4 blocks sailing thru the air, I finally said"Come on Jonathon, just stack them nice please" AND he did!!!!!!!! That's my boy. Then with speech we pushed the little shopping cart around and loaded and unloaded grocercies. She was able to see that he is doing better at trying to walk. Then they read some books together. All in all decent day.

Now on to this morning. It is snowing again and we have an appointment this morning. I do not like driving in the snow at all. And I really do not like driving in the snow if it's not somewhere I travel all the time and today is not somewhere I travel all the time. I am hoping the roads are not too bad. I guess we will leave early!

Well we survived our outing! On the way to our appointment I was cussing myself out asking WHY are we out in this mess. I attempted to get off expressway, but totally missed my exit, so continued on my way and when I finally made it to our exit, I stopped and took a picture and Thanked the Lord for getting us there safely! Of course Jonathon didn't care as he was napping the whole time! But we are glad to be back home in our safe warm home to continue our day on!

Kitchen Door Back Up/Baby Gate Down!

Years ago we took our kitchen door down because we have a very small kitchen and it was taking up space, but Mr. Jonathon has wanted to explore the kitchen for some time now and it is very frustrating when I need to be in the kitchen and he stands at the gate throwing toys at me(literally at me)LOL. Had a few actually make it up in the window sill. Soooo I finally got Gilbert to take the door down out of garage rafters and put it back up AND then we were able to take baby gate down. WOW! What a difference in my little boy. He spent all day Saturday and Sunday playing with his trucks on the kitchen floor. He was way less whiny and didn't throw any toys. Now maybe I can get some things done. He only has to be gated when I cook dinner now because my oven is old and gets hot to the touch when it's on. My baby is really growing up!
