New "Gamer" on the Block

w e l l ......almost.....I bought Jonathon a game for the Wii a few months ago and finally tried it after Christmas.  It is Jumpstart Escape from Adventure Island, you have to use the wand and it is mainly rolling it back and forth to do what you need to do.  It was kinda a pain even for me, so of course Jonathon didn't concept it all.  I just told him that was o.k. and we would put it away for now and try when he got a little older.....

He loves to go in and get on the bed and watch Kenny play PS3.  He will sit for hours with Kenny if I let him.  Kenny is 14 and likes shooter games.....Jonathon has a new vocabulary and it consist of a toy gun and alot of "POW" "POW" "POW"....Ok, I don't think he needs to be in front of that for very long.  So when we were out the other day running errands I decided to look for a couple of different games for the PS3 for Kenny.  Mainly because his Uncle John likes to play, but not really shooter games so I found Motorstorm Greatest Hits- this has trucks, ATVs, semi etc that you can race - right up Uncle John's alley.  And while I was searching I ran across a game for Jonathon to try.....Maybe the PS3 would be a little easier....  Here is what Jonathon got!

So much excitement!!
So I hooked it all up and let him try.....he did much better than with the Wii..... he can push the gas pretty good, but steering is not so good......but for the few minutes that he played he was very very happy.....so a good buy I think.....he will grow into it just like Andrew and Kenny did years ago....(their learning game was Spyro)

I do want to purchase the new Elmo game for the Wii when the price comes down.......

Dearest Jonathon

I love the fact that you are becoming such a big boy, but could you please do me a favor?

1.  Please do not take bowls off of the counter and help yourself to the M & M's - this could be very dangerous.......

2.  Please do not go into mommy's bedroom and help yourself to the candy canes that are way up high on the dresser - this too, could be very dangerous.....

3.  Please remember to keep your head up while you are walking outside - there is a whole world out there if you would stop looking at your feet - this too could be very dangerous.....

4.  Could you please sleep until 6:30a.m. - mommy is very tired and would like to sleep past 5:30 a.m.  (Thanks)

5.  Could you please just get into your bed at naptime/bedtime and STAY in your bed and go to sleep - mommy is tired of playing nanny 911 - I have walked many miles lately......

6.  When eating, could you please take one bite at a time AND finish chewing before shoving more into your mouth - this could be very dangerous......

7.  Please Please stop throwing toys at the television - please stop pounding on televison

8.  Please do not run in the house and jump on my couch - this too could be very dangerous....

9.  Please do not fight me when I try to put on your hat, gloves and coat every morning - it will be spring soon enough and you can put the winter items away.....

10.  Please do not change who you are ever - you are awesome - just be careful!

Love you!!

First playdate of 2011

After school today best friend Rylee came over to play.

I swear they had every single toy out of the toybox and everywhere in his room.  They played great together all afternoon.  They were really cute running all over with the toy 4 wheelers and trying on shoes together.

We had a couple of little mishaps, but nothing on purpose.  They both went to pick up a toy at the same time and Rylee got bonked.  And then Rylee went to hug Jonathon and Jonathon leaned back and they both fell, Rylee on top of Jonathon and Jonathon on top of a boat toy.  and then there were tears.......But everyone was fine and hugs and sorry's were given.

I am so glad that they are so close!  Was a great playday today.  Can't wait for the next one.

Looking Back

I started off this morning telling myself, ok it is a new year and I needed to get started on being organized.  I seen/heard a few weeks ago that you should just copy all your financial items onto a hard drive or usb drive instead of using a file cabinet.  Sounds good, if you have the time.  Not sure which way I am going to use, but that's how I already got side tracked this morning.  I plugged in my USB to see what was on there.  Pictures of course.

I cannot believe how much Jonathon has changed since last year.  He is really a big boy now.  I found some pictures from last year.  I can still see the baby face and baby fat.  Then I flip to pictures from this year and all the baby is gone. Especially since I cut his hair.  Reality is hitting that my baby is really growing up.

I am so proud of him.  And lately he is coming out of his shell.  He is imitating EVERYTHING!  He imitated almost everything/everyone at church yesterday morning.  It's so cute, but there were times that I had to keep saying SHHHHHH!!!!

He learned some new words over the holiday break.  Like "OH CRAP"  OOPS!  I warned the teacher this morning.  We really need to watch what we say from now on.

Anyway, here is some photos!

I see chubby little arms and chubby cheekers

loving his bells

not seeing those chubby cheeks anymore

I see a big change here!

really starting to show his personality!
I love my little boy to death!  I couldn't have asked for a better gift from God!

Merry Christmas Happy New Year

We had a very nice Christmas and got to spend it with part of the family.
On Christmas Eve we had Grandma and Grandpa Panczyk over for a couple of hours.  They seemed like they really enjoyed themselves this year and Grandma liked her present so much that she cried "happy" tears.  The boys got her a hummingbird knick knack.

Grandpa got 2 pairs of gloves and was like a kid in the candy store. He is so funny.

Aunt Jessie and Uncle Ed stopped by for a few minutes to hand out presents and visit on their way through to see Great Granny.  It was nice visiting for the short time that we did.

Later on that evening my sis, her hubby and son came over.  We had a blast!  Adam loved his gift (TGW) Trucks Gone Wild.  Carol-Ann liked her present from Jonathon and Uncle Dave got a new movie to watch. Jonathon was great opening presents, he really got excited this year.  He got a new Look and FInd book and a new shaker car Ramone.  Also a new ornament for the Christmas Tree.  Brother John and his family never made it over, but Kenny, Jonathon and I got to visit with him a couple of days later.  So Christmas was good.
We spent the week doing errands and playing at home.  Jonathon got new glasses right before Christmas, but they were not fitting correctly so we went back to get them looked at.  They have to make him a new pair.  They cut the temples to fit and then that made Jonathon's  ears stick out really bad and they kept falling off of his face so they are going to make a new pair and not cut the temples.  Those should be in this week.

Took Andrew shopping to get some new jeans, he already outgrew the ones from when school started.  My teenagers are growing rapidly now.

For New Years we had our friends Jeff and Charlotte over.  We ate pizza, watched movies and had lots of fun.  My basement was full of teen boys gaming on their xbox 360 and ps3 online for most of the evening.   Jonathon lasted til about 8p.m. and off to dream land he went.  The end of 2010 was peaceful!

Here is a few photos!

Family of Five

Having a family of five sometimes is a bit overwhelming!  There is so much to do in one day and it seems like there is never enough hours or as I get and feel alot older I just am exhausted to even finish!

All 3 boys are now on there first week of Christmas vacation and the teenagers are loving it!  On Saturday we celebrated Kenny's 14th birthday.  He got a PS3 for his big gift.  He actually saved his own money for most of it and then we chipped in a little over $100.00 for him to be able to get it.  But then he also received over $90.00 and wanted to go out and buy a router so he could play online.  Okay ~ no problem ~ I thought!  I took him out to Radio Shack and he got a really good deal on a router.  We hooked it up and he was able to get online and play.~ happy teenager.... Well he was happy, but here comes the 15 yr. old to tell me that we bought the wrong thing, it's junk, the store doesn't know what they are talking about etc etc etc!  Now I don't have time for all of this and during all of this I have been able to get online to do my own stuff, which is very frustrating, then nothing was getting done at all around here!  Sooooo yesterday I called my internet company and spoke with Eric and got all the answers we needed.......AND yes the 15yr. old was wrong.....Kenny got a very good deal and the router is fine.....we need to pay for a bigger package thru internet company if he wants his game to play better online!!!!   So there ~ and that will be the teenagers paying the difference, not me.  For now we are keeping the speed we have.

Went out yesterday morning to pick up Jonathon's new glasses.  Wow, what a difference, they are a lot thicker in the lenses.  His prescription changed a lot, but we are hoping that it will get better before he turns 5. (keeping fingers crossed).  I haven't been able to catch a good picture of him yet, so that will come later.  Overall they look really nice.  I like the new color and he seems to be handling the new script very well.  He really looks like a big boy!

He got his second haircut from mommy the other night and did GREAT!  He sits for me and doesn't fidget or cry like he was at the hair salon so I will continue to just shave him.  And I like it.

Today we are going to spend the day, catching up on laundry and baking our brains out.  I have 5 pies to make ~ fudge ~ sugar cookies ~ and couple of other cookie recipes.  Coleslaw ~ stuffing.  Christmas eve is at our house for part of the family(my sis, my bro and their family and grandpa and grandma Panczyk).  Then Christmas Day we are staying home and inviting our close friend Randy to spend the day with us and I am making dinner.

Then tomorrow I have to make one more trip out for last minute items.......

I am hoping we have a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Oh and in between all of this my hubby's truck tried to start on fire last week, we have had it in and out of garage 4 times and it still is not right.....we were told its on its last leg and just drive it til it dies.......Well there went our Christmas money, so we have a couple of big ticket items still sitting in layaway for the teenagers that just might have to stay with an I.O.U.  I am sad about this, but unless a miracle happens in 2 days........I hope they are not too disappointed.

Sorry for not keeping up on my blog and I will try to find some much needed me time in the future!  I really miss blogging and reading all of my friends blogs.
