Enjoying our summer

is why I have not been current on my blog.  I have been spending every minute outside with Jonathon.  We only come inside to fix something to eat....clean up....and occasional movie and of course shower and bed.


He is really enjoying the outdoors this year!  And our summer vacation is flying by.


A few weeks back I had mentioned that we had a surprise for Jonathon.


Here it is!

He is loving his pool!  And we are loving the fact that we were able to do this for all 3 boys!

Quick visit to ENT

This morning I was going to see if Jonathon's swim ear plugs still fit from last year.  When I went to put the right one in I noticed that his ear had all this dry crusty stuff on it......


I called his ENT and they said that they needed to see him even though his ENT was not in.


So we packed up after lunch and headed to the city (1 hour ).  We seen a nice Dr. but I still don't like seeing other dr.s.  He couldn't find anything wrong with Jonathons ear.  Told me to watch him and if its draining put ear drops in(fill prescription)....if its not draining don't do anything.....Hmmmm.....if its not draining then why is it all nasty looking.?


So we stopped off at Best Buy to see the geek squad with a few questions on the MAC....Jonathon brought me a movie from school that was made on windows media player and I needed to know how to convert to play on the MAC.  Geek squad was very helpful and then we headed for home.


Stopped off at a vegetable stand and bought 2 patio tomatoe plants for Jonathon to plant in my big red basket by deck.  Then we hurried home because Kenny had dinner cooking in the oven...Lasagna.


After dinner we sat down as a family and watched Jonathon's movie from school.  It was so cute.  It was a power point presentation/movie of his class all year.


Then we cleaned up Jonathons ear and got some ice cream for dessert.. Hopefully he will wake up tomorrow and his ear will be clear and clean. Otherwise......I think I will being calling ENT back or going to see his pediatrician at least.


Good day....Busy day....and hopefully tomorrow we will finally get some much needed grocery shopping done.

Summer is here!

And we are enjoying every second of it outdoors!  


Until the last 2 days.  The last 2 days it has been pretty chilly around here again.  But that just gives me time to clean up inside and catch up on laundry, watch some movies and just relax.

Quiet Tuesday

Everybody went back to school today.


Jonathon had a busy day with O.T. and P.T.  Tuesdays are very tiring.  He came home ate lunch and took a nap.  After nap we went and picked up his big brothers from school.


Around 4p.m. we went outside to play for awhile.  Swinging on the swingset.  It was still very hot out so we decided to water all my flowers and Jonathon spent his time running through the hose.  He had lots of fun.


Then we came in and made pizza for dinner.


It is now 8:21p.m. and he is out cold.

Love the outside.....love the hot weather.....love the sun shining......

Jonathon loves to run through the mud and water......


All I could do was stand back and laugh....it took so long for us to see Jonathon run...and this year he is really running!!  And he loves to run too.

Just stayed home

We do not have any particular plans for this weekend.  Jonathon has come down with a cold too, so we decided to just work around the house.


Today Gilbert finished putting the sides on our deck. A project that we started last summer, but ran out of funds.  I am glad that its finished and now I don't have to worry about Jonathon falling off of the sides.


Took Jonathon out to play after his nap.  It was extremely wet and muddy so I let him play on the deck instead.


All in all a great relaxing warm day!

Detroit Zoo Cancelled.....

Our day started out with a temp of 47 and rain.  I decided it was not a good idea to head off to the zoo with the class.


Instead we went to the movies.  This was Jonathon's first time ever in a movie theater.  He did great.  I am glad that I took his headphones along.  He used them in the beginning of the movie because it was loud and I think it scared him a little.  Then he took them off and did not use them until the very end when the music got loud again.


He got sucked right up into the chair like a pretzel.  I had to keep my leg on it.  He did sit on my lap through most of the movie.


Afterwards we went to eat lunch and then rode the horse carousel at the mall.  Then we went off to Target quickly to get daddy some new socks and then hurried home to pick Andrew up from school.


It rained the entire day....like a drizzle, but cold, damp, and just YUCK.  I am very glad I did not go to the zoo.


We had a great day!

Tomorrow is zoo day.  It is raining and 47 degrees right now.  not very nice for the zoo.  I am really hoping that it warms up tomorrow.

Loving this weather

Our temps were already in the high 60's by the time Jonathon got out of school. 
We hurried home and made sandwiches..grabbed some cheez pons and chips with a drink and headed outside for a picnic on our deck.  My friend Charlotte stopped by and joined in on the food and relaxation!

We were able to catch up while we watched Jonathon play.  He is fun to just sit and watch....and he has come so far!  I am so so proud.
Tomorrow is supposed to be another great day.  I can't wait!
