Haircut and Boo Boo

This is what happens when you are sitting on the bathroom floor shaking your head to the sound of the blowdryer and you accidentally hit your head on the door jam........

Think it's time for a new bed......

Jonathon and I went out today to pick out his toddler bed and put it in layaway at Kmart. He picked "Cars" of course.

We took out his bumper pad about 1 month ago and then he kept rolling over hitting the side rails waking up~so we put the bumper pad back in. This seemed to help for a couple of weeks.

Now we are back to him rolling over hitting side rails and waking up again. I have been telling Gilbert that I think he will soon be out of the crib.

This is my second time having to do this......I don't want this to become routine....

I think this is the sweetest thing in the world, but I don't want Jonathon to get used to this~so like I said"Think it's time for a new bed"

Storm yesterday afternoon....

Jonathon enjoyed playing outside all day yesterday, that is in between the storms that came through. Alot of rain and I was actually downloading pictures when my power decided to go out. We were without power from 2p.m. until 2a.m.

Up and running again now so here is Jonathon's swingset. You will notice inside the new big swingset is his little swingset from last year....... He received quite an upgrade!

Special Day Today

With Jonathon turning 2 this summer I wanted to find him a swingset.

Years ago we had a nice wooden one, but decided to give it to our 2 neices and 1 nephew(triplets) when they turned 2 because their mom and dad couldn't afford one and Andrew and Kenny said it would be ok to give it away. So that was about 5 years ago. We also thought(THOUGHT)(LOL) we were done having children.

So even though I saved some items from when Andrew and Kenny were younger, I don't have a sandbox or a swingset or a swimming pool. My first goal was to find Jonathon a swingset by his birthday in July.

I have been searching online through freecycle and craigslist. Not having any luck. I decided to try again a few days ago and I finally found a swingset. The gentleman was asking 75.00. It is a huge wooden swingset and he stated that it needed to be hauled away on a 18ft. long trailer.......

I packed everyone up after school on Thursday and we drove the 30 minutes to go check it out. And Gilbert met me there on his way home from work.

We bought it...For 50.00!

Gilbert and our friend Randy are on their way right now to go pick it up. I hope they don't run into any problems and are able to get it on the trailer. Otherwise they have tools with them to dismantle it.

I am very excited for Jonathon and can't wait to take him outside to play later.
Will update later with pictures.

Beat up and saved all at the same time.......

Jonathon had a playdate with Rylee today. They are so darn cute together. Today they played really well together. They are quiet; they don't ever fight over toys; they try to share bottles AND blankies(lol). I really enjoy just sitting and visiting with Nik(Rylee's mommy) and watching the two of them.

Today I helped Nik set some things up on her computer while Jonathon and Rylee played. We were getting to the end of our visit, I was just helping Nik with one more thing; I could see Rylee and Jonathon in Rylee's room from where I was; I looked away for one second AND I heard Jonathon yell and start to cry. Trying to stay calm I went right away to see and then he really started to cry. Soooo As Nik and I try to find out from Rylee what happened Nik says:Did Jonathon stick something in the wall outlet????? My heart sunk to my feet.....OMG I hope to god Jonathon did not do that. He wasn't acting like he did that. I didn't even know that Rylee has open outlets in her room(my fault I should have looked it over more closely) I took Jonathon out to living room to look him over. Rylee had a toy spatula and told us she hit Jonathon. I see a welt on the side of Jonathons head. Yep got hit with something. But didn't seem like it was from the spatula. Rylee went back into her room and showed her mommy what happened and told Nik in her own way.

"Jonathon had a toy and was going to touch the wall outlet, Rylee said no, Jonathon didn't listen so Rylee hit him upside the head with a metal toy car" Now that makes sense and looks to be true as far as the mark on his head. Hugs were given to each other and kisses and sorry was said.

Thank you Rylee for saving your friend Jonathon!!!!! I am not mad that you hit him. I don't know what would have happened if he was electrocuted. We love you and thank you very much!!!!

Next time I will pay more attention to Jonathon's surroundings.

I am glad that Rylee and Jonathon are sooo close that she protected him today. A true best friend.

School Today

went well for Jonathon. He showed O.T.(Amanda) how he can put all his shapes in his shape sorter bucket and then he stacked all his cups together, which ends up being taller than him almost.(used to be, but Jonathon has grown). Then they worked on a puzzle together~this one had little pegs~he needs to use his pincher finger to get the piece out. We have these puzzles at home, so we will start working on these now.

Amanda gave me a great idea to do with bubbles. Blow the bubbles and have Jonathon use his pointer finger to "pop" the bubbles. Never thought of that~so when we go outside later we will get our bubbles out and try popping them.

On to P.T.(Annette) Got some good news from her today. We will be having summer services(school)once per week. She is going to start the summer off and then Miss Jen(my previous P.T. from last year)will end the summer. Miss Jen is having her second baby anyday now(this I did not know, so will be sending her a gift). I am very excited that we will be able to continue on with school through out the summer just like last year. And it is centrally located this year at Woodlands~this is 20 minutes from my house.

We will also be doing summer activities again this summer with all the children located in St.Clair County. I had alot of fun last summer and Andrew and Kenny enjoyed the time also with Jonathon.
Bad news about summer activities is that we might not be able to swim like last year. The swim teacher has retired and they are not sure what will take place. I really hope something opens up b/c that was one of Jonathon's favorite activities. He so enjoys the water.

I really need to look into us getting into the YMCA. My social worker was trying to get a scholarship for us, but said they were put on hold because of the economy. I think I will just pop in there and see what it is all about.
